For most people, planning a funeral is the most difficult event in their entire life. Unfortunately for some, this means having to make many decisions during a very emotional time. If at all possible, we recommend these decisions be made ahead of time removed from the emotions of the decisions. This will help you avoid making any mistakes due to high emotions and unclear thinking.
We are here to offer guidance and to assist you in planning a funeral and in choosing the options that best meet your family's needs and your loved one's wishes. The service may be held in one of our chapels, at your place of worship, or at the graveside. We even facilitate holding the services at some other meaningful location. We will listen to your family and help arrange a celebration of your loved one's life through whatever means you choose.
We also recommend you become an informed consumer. Here are some tips we feel are important to help you help yourself:
- Be prepared. Use the guides we provide both before a death occurs and after a death occurs to gather all of the necessary information you will need for the arrangement conference.
- Discuss all available options with your funeral director before making any decisions. Your funeral director can also detail options for you of which you may not have been aware.
- Don't be afraid to ask about prices. We are not hesitant to share financial information with you. We have even designed funeral plans which may make the planning process simpler for your family as well as save your family money.
- Don't be afraid to ask questions. We welcome questions. Our goal is to take the stress out of planning the funeral and leave you time to share good memories and experiences with your family and friends.
- Plan a meaningful celebration of your loved one's life. Include music, pictures, tributes, or memories shared by family and friends, etc.
- When planning a meaningful celebration, keep in mind the wishes of your loved one, if appropriate.
