Obituary for Ruby Lee Cabe

Ruby Lee Cabe, 88, of Emerson, died Sunday, October 20, 2013 at her residence. Born April 14, 1925 in Maryville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Robert Floyd Cothran and the late Jessie Irene Rogers Cothran.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her husband of 61 years, Henry Cabe; mother in-law and father-in-law, Jessie and Fannie Cabe; her children, Dillard Cabe, Shirley Storey and Doris Lowe; her siblings, Junior and Jessie Cothran, Kenneth “Tob” and Betty Cothran; her grandson, Stacy Cabe; her sons-in-law, Ricky Wooten and James Jack Lowe; her brother-in-law, Sid Shull.
Mrs. Cabe was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to gospel music, fishing with her late husband and telling stories.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Doyal and Pearl Cabe and Ricky and Joyce Cabe; eight grandchildren, Donna Gail Lingerfelt, Rhonda Crosby, Ricky Wooten, Jamie Martin, Sherry Brookshire, Christy Bailey, Tina McIntyre and Natasha Lowe; thirty great-grandchildren; fourteen great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Jean Shull; special friends, Bertha Trammell and Margaret Hamby; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 23, 2013 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Reverend Roland Lee, Pastor Michael Abernathy and Reverend Larry Lowe. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jesse Wehunt, Randy Brookshire, Gary Renow, Gene Martin, Dakota Crosby and Ricky Wooten. Austin Brookshire and Bodie Martin will serve as honorary pallbearers.
