Joey Lee  Mathison Sr.
Mr. Joey Lee Mathison Sr. died Thursday April 3, 2014 in Cartersville.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who enjoyed fishing, camping and cooking. He also loved to BBQ! He was very generous with his time and resources. He was a member of New Hope Chapel Baptist Church in Rome. Born in Cartersville on December 27, 1968, Mr. Mathison was preceded in death by his son Austin Lee Mathison; his father Charles William Mathison Sr., and his mother Elizabeth Ann Kaiser Mathison.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years Angela Mathison of Rome; one daughter, Bridget Mathison of Rome; his two sons, Joey Mathison, Jr. and Randy Mathison both of Rome; one sister Rebecca Davis of Cartersville; four brothers Charles William Mathison Jr., Stanley Mathison, Roger Mathison, and Freddie Mathison all of Cartersville; and 4 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2014 in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Dr. Drew Brown and Reverend J.R. McWhorter officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday April 12, 2014 at the funeral home.
