Obituary for Lee Olson

Lee  Olson
Mr. Lee Arnold Olson, Jr., 48, of Cartersville, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014, from complications of an infection.

Lee was originally from Chicago, IL, and was a son of the late Lee Arnold Olson, Sr., and Carole Olson. He graduated from Montgomery Academy in Montgomery, AL, attended Florida State University and received a bachelor's degree from Auburn University at Montgomery. Lee will be remembered for his love and loyalty to family and friends, his fondness for the latest technology and “gadgets,” and his love of sports – particularly when his Seminoles were playing football.

Survivors include his mother, Carole Olson; his brother, Peter Olson and his wife Ellyn; and his beloved niece and nephew Eden and Grey Olson, all of Cartersville.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Cartersville with The Reverend Ted Smith officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that those who wish may make donations to the Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter, Post Office 664, Cartersville, Georgia 30120 or the Alzheimer's Association Georgia Chapter, 41 Perimeter Center East, Suite 550, Atlanta, GA 30346 in memory of Lee.
