Obituary for Bertha Bell Bailey (Roberson)

Mrs. Bertha Bell Roberson Bailey, 92, of Cartersville, died Saturday, July 12, 2014 at her residence.
Born November 8, 1921 in Taylorsville, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Pat Roberson and the late Mattie Costlow Roberson. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Cartersville and Atco Keenagers. She enjoyed traveling to the mountains, sewing and quilting. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved her children. Often told by her husband “You will never grow up as long as you have children around you!” In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul William Thomas Bailey; son, John David Bailey; granddaughter, Teresa Charrier; grandson, Todd Watkins.
Survivors include two daughters, Thelma Redding of Cartersville and Marie Bonner and her husband Oscar of Cartersville; sons, James Bailey and his wife Edith of Cartersville, Clay Bailey of Peachtree Corners, Georgia, Don Bailey and his wife Martha of Cartersville; twelve grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Reverend Benny Thomas, Reverend David Baker and Reverend Butch Cole officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 13, 2014 from 3:00-7:00 p.m.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Atco Keenagers.
