Mr. Johnny “Little Johnny” Holmes, 54, of Calhoun, died Monday, October 13, 2014 at Gordon Hospital.
Born in Bartow County on July 29, 1960, he was the son of the late John Lewis Holmes and Estie Lee Barron Holmes. Johnny was a member of Liberty Holiness Church in Taylorsville. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and playing his guitar.
Survivors include his wife, Christy Holmes; his daughters, Elizabeth Holmes, Emily Holmes and Faith Holmes; his sister, Lisa Holmes Brock of Cartersville; and his brothers, Timmy Holmes and Wayne Leachman both of Cartersville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 17, 2014 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Marlon Haney officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from Noon until 1:30 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
