Obituary for Richard Lee Ledford

Richard Lee Ledford
Mr. Richard L. Ledford, 58, of Adairsville, died Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Cartersville Medical Center.
A native of Bartow County, born June 14, 1956, he was the son of the late Luther Ledford and Viola Hartley Ledford. He was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church and was a big animal lover. Richard was such a friendly person to everyone he came in contact with. He always had a smile on his face and believed in a firm handshake upon greeting. Richard had been going to Woodright Industries since August of 1979. He enjoyed watching baseball, watching old episodes of Andy Griffin and eating out. One of his favorite foods was double chocolate cake. Though it is sad that Richard has passed, his memory will live on threw others with whom he spent time. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ellen Holcombe.
Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Judy and David Stephens of Cartersville; his niece, Kimberly Stephens; his brothers, Mark & Donald Ledford; his caregiver, to whom he referred to as “mama”, Barbara Truax and his beloved cat, Jack.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 20, 2014 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Donnie Summey and The Reverend David Summey officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday for one hour prior to the service.
