Obituary for Curtis Junior Grier

Mr. Curtis Junior Grier, 71, of Cartersville, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at his residence. Born in Columbus, Georgia on May 29, 1943, he was the son of the late Curtis Love Grier and Johnnie Pearl Hickman.
Mr. Grier was a truck driver for Bartow Paving. He was kind hearted, plain spoken, a good family man and had strong work ethics. He was a veteran and served his country in the United States Army. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Betty Cotton; a brother, Billy Grier and a grandson, Cody Bryant.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Norma Jane Grier of Cartersville; three daughters, Beverly Collum of Cartersville, Angie Federick of Columbus and Drew Wilson of Rome; three sons, Chad Woodall and wife, Mary of Cartersville, Andy Woodall of White and Eugene Grier of Columbus; his sister, Shirley Maddox of Columbus; his grandchildren, Holly, Ashley and Pamela Woodall, Taylor White and wife, Brandy, McKenzie and Riley Wilson, Andrew Blake, Matthew and Madison Grier; his great-grandchildren, Noah and Tatum Williamson, Jayda and Jackson White.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2014 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Raymond Walker Townsend officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 – 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
