Clara Jean  Coker
Mrs. Clara Jean Coker, 86, of Cartersville, died Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Cartersville Medical Center. A native of Bartow County, born July 1, 1928, she was the daughter of the late James Albert Cochran and Eula Hamilton Cochran.
Mrs. Coker was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping at Walmart and quilting. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Coker; her daughter, Joy Sue Coker Valdez; her brothers, Clarence W. Cochran, James L. Cochran, Harold A. Cochran, Elton V. Cochran; and one grandson, Brian Coker.
Survivors include her sons, Wendell F. Coker (Phyllis) of Adairsville and Jeff A. Coker (Kathy) of Cartersville; her brother, Robert L. Cochran; her son-in-law, Freddie Valdez; her grandsons, Kevin Clark (Marie), Corey Clark (Stephanie), Erick Ingram (Marsha) and Adric Coker; her granddaughters, Sharon Coker and (Allen Eastman), Melissa Valdez, Tracy Greenway (Jody), Christy Willard (Jonathan), and Kimberly Coker; her great-grandchildren, Payton Clark, Chase Clark, Marina Clark, Cameron Ingram, Emily Ingram, Morgan Ingram, Drew and Devin Coker, Madeline, Emelia and Gabrielle Greenway.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
