Obituary for Gladys Tant Womack

Mrs. Gladys Tant Womack, 77, of Cartersville, died Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at her residence. Born in Cobb County, January 15, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Hefner and Sudie McClure.
Mrs. Womack was a member of Center Baptist Church and enjoyed crocheting, quilting and cooking. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Joe Tant, Sr; her second husband, James Womack; and grandchildren, Stephanie Ray and Billy Joe Tant III.
Survivors include her children, Renay Vaughn of Cedartown, Penny Flanagan of Cartersville, Billy Joe Tant, Jr. (Rhonda) and Terry Tant (Melissa) all of Cartersville; her step-children, Sherry Hill and Bobby Leonard; her grandchildren, Johnny Flanagan “John Boy” (Angie), Marhonda Tant, Rebecca Tant, Scottie Ray (Linda), Kimberly Tant, Justin Hill and Amanda Ruff; her great-grandchildren, Kyle Flanagan (Leanne), Damon and Landon Ray, Bevan Cunningham, Pierston Cunningham, Kayla Duck and Houston Tant; her great-great-grandchildren, Emma Flanagan; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 13, 2015 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Justin Gazaway, The Reverend Joseph Martin and The Reverend Dewey Atchley officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to help with final expenses.
Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny Flanagan, Billy Joe Tant, Jr., Scottie Ray, Terry Tant, Kenneth Tant, Kyle Flanagan, Michael Tant and Justin Hill.
