Obituary for Mark Anthony "Blackie" Gossett

Mr. Mark “Blackie” Gossett, 67, of Cartersville, died Friday, March 13, 2015 at Wellstar Community Hospice in Austell. Born in Fulton County, May 2, 1947, he was the son of the late Doc and Mary Barnes Gossett.
Blackie, as he was so fondly known by his family and friends, was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed working on antique cars, listening to country music and being outdoors. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Marie Burns and Pearl Tidwell.
He is survived by his wife, Alpha Lowry of Cartersville; his daughters, Becky Gossett of Waleska, Stacey and Jeff Croft of Hiram, Angel Gossett of Cartersville and Heather and Mariano Cifuentes; eight grandchildren, Erica Stokers, Scott and Cassie Croft, Kearstan Croft, Jacob Stoker, Dawson Wheeler, Mariana Cifuentes, Jayden Gossett and Emily Cifuentes; two great-grandchildren and one on the way, Jarret and Maddi Croft.
A memorial service will be held April 4, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Building A200.
