Obituary for Claire Louise Mulkey

Claire Louise Mulkey, 84, of Cartersville died Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Cartersville Medical Center.
Claire was born on August 2, 1930 in Cartersville to the late Homer and Maggie Kirk Teague. She grew up in Atco and later married Donald Martin Mulkey and they had three sons. Claire was a loving mother, Nanny and devoted member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Survivors include her brother David Teague and her three sons, William Dexter Mulkey, Barry Dwight Mulkey and Dennis Alan Mulkey; her granddaughters, Stephanie Proctor and her husband Josh Proctor, and Bari Mulkey; her grandsons, Alan Mulkey and Michael Mulkey; foster grandsons Jimmy and George Seitz and her great-grandchildren, Clay Mulkey, Jarret and Jaydon Ray, Taylor Proctor, Kara Meyer, Trey Seitz, Jordan Seitz and Kimberly Seitz.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 21, 2015 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Reverend Steve Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Alan, Bari and Michael Mulkey, Doug Teague, Dan Golden and Danny Dunagan. Clay Mulkey and Jarret Ray will serve as honorary pallbearers
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Friendship Baptist Church, 606 Cassville Road SE, Cartersville, Georgia 30120.
