Obituary for Gene Croy

Mr. Gene Croy, 77, of Cartersville, died Monday, July 27, 2015 at Redmond Park Hospital.
A native of Bartow County, born September 2, 1937, he was the son of the late Ruben Croy and Alice Barrett Croy. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Croy; his daughter, Glenda Croy; his step-daughter, Sheila Blackmon; his brothers, Rufus, Joe, Robert, Thomas and Jeffrey Croy; and his sister, Emma Jane Blackmon.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Croy; his sons, Randy Croy, Tommy and Sherry Croy, and Billy Croy; his step-children, Sharon Lebscier, Charles Blackmon, Sandra Henry and Melinda Webb; his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; his sisters, Annie Ruth Waits and Marie Jenkins; and his brother, David Croy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, July 30, 2015 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Larry Huskins and The Reverend Daryl Tidwell. Interment will follow in Zion Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Billy Joe Croy, Brian Croy, Patrick Sheffield, Jason Croy, Travis Cochran and Bob Hill will serve as pallbearers. Tommy and Billy Croy will serve as honorary pallbearers.
