Obituary for Thomas Harrell

Mr. Thomas Ronald Harrell, 68, of Cartersville, died Wednesday, September 09, 2015 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born December 5, 1946 in Macon, Georgia , he was the son of the late Thomas Harrell and Joyce Harper Sheffield. Thomas was a member of Raccoon Creek Baptist Church and affiliated with Canton St. Paul Train Club and Tag Group Raccoon Creek Baptist Church. He was retired from Georgia Power-Plant Bowen and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Muriel Moulton Harrell of Cartersville; his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Patrick Miller and their children, Taylor, Brooklyn and Caleb; his son and daughter –in-law, Allen and Tammy Harrell and their children, Josh, Aly and Maggie; and his brother, Danny Sheffield.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2015 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Pastor Patrick Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Shannon Moulton, Mike Owens, David Griner, Jeff Duckett, Davis Nelson and Brett Meadows. Carl Pinson will serve as honorary pallbearer.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests for those who wish may make donations to Raccoon Creek Baptist Church, 1808 Hwy 113 SW, Cartersville, Georgia, 30120.
