Doris Christine  Barker (Womack)
Mrs. Doris Christine Womack Barker, 70, of Adairsville, widow of the late Raymond Birl Barker, died Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Gordon Hospital.

Born April 17, 1945 in Rome, she was a daughter of the late Curtis Womack and the late Minnie Samantha Womack. Mrs. Barker was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, and had worked for many years for Shaw Industries. She was a hard-worker and a wonderful mother. She loved to read, and loved her dog, Peanut. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Curtis Barker; 1 brother and two sisters.

Survivors include her daughters, Ramonda C. Williams and her husband Johnny of Cartersville, Rebecca L. Reeves and her husband Tommy of Taylorsville, Helen Redd and her husband Perry of Cartersville, and Jamie S. King and her husband Tony of Adairsville; a son, Jeff Barker and his wife Kelly of Adairsville; sister, Polly Corbin of Piedmont, AL; brothers, H.B. Womack and Doyal Womack, both of Rome; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church with The Reverend Danny Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Barker will lie in state at the church, one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 28, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Curtis Reeves, Dakotah Pirkle, Cristopher Redd, John Redd, Tim King, and John Earwood.
