Vickie Lynn Davis, age 49, of Cartersville, died Saturday, July 23, 2016. She was born in Cartersville, Georgia on January 15, 1967 and was the daughter of the late James (Bud) Davis and Louise Collum Davis.
Ms. Davis was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cartersville. She loved the Braves and the Falcons. She had a great sense of humor and there was never a dull moment with her. Her nieces and nephews referred to her as “Mia-Mia”. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her niece Amanda Griffith; nephews, Larry Erskin McRee and Larry William Davis (Lil Larry); sister Hazel Davis O’Tinger; Brothers Larry Lee Davis and Bobby Leon Davis.
Survivors include six sisters, Dianne Davis of Calhoun, Dorothy Jenkins of Varnell, Cathy Davis of Resaca, Elaine Davis of Cartersville, Tina Davis of Cartersville and Amy Miller Davis of Cartersville; her brothers, Chuck “Bud” Davis of Cartersville, and James Wesley Davis of Cartersville.
Interment and Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Oakhill-Rydal cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be AJ Mulkey, Nick Davis, Bud Davis, Warren Collum, Chaz Edmondson and B.J. Bearden. Bobby Davis will serve as honorary pallbearer.
