Obituary for Christian Austin

Christian  Austin
Christian Xavier Austin, age 16, of Cartersville, died on Friday, August 19, 2016 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Canton, Georgia on August 28, 1999 and was the son of Kent Austin and Alicia Rhodes Sutton.

Christian is of the Baptist faith. He was a junior at Cass High School and enjoyed watching football and sports in general. Christian had a great sense of humor and loved to spend time with his friends. He also enjoyed listening to music and playing video games. Preceding him in death are his maternal grandfather, John Neal and paternal grandmother, Pamela Austin.

Survivors include his parents, Kent and Alicia; his brothers, Matthew Sutton and Caleb Austin; his maternal grandmother, Gwendolyn Rhodes; his paternal grandparents, Mack and Ann Austin; his aunts and uncles, Michelle and Kenny Holtzapple, Vanessa Hollingsworth, Jonathan Hollingsworth and Brad and Heather Austin; along with his cousins, Alexis Rhodes Holtzapple, Kyle Holtzapple, Chessie Holtzapple, Carson Blake and Camrynn Austin.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Minister Ronnie Pope officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
