Obituary for David Soliday

Mr. David Allen Soliday, 28, of Cartersville, died Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta. He was born in Cobb County on February 6, 1988 and was the son of John and Coni Paris Soliday.

Ever since David was little he ALWAYS loved to help with any and everything he could. At six years old, he would run down the street with his sister saying hi to everyone and asking if he could help with things such as painting. He grew up helping his pawpaw cut grass to provide for the family. To this day he was such a hard worker. He thrived to make sure his family was taken care of. He would give the shirt off of his back if it meant someone else could be clothed and warm. He had a caring heart no matter how far he was pushed. Joking was either his charm or it would get him into trouble. April fool’s day had to be his favorite day! No one ever knew what he was up to. He was a family man all around. Even through the struggles of his childhood and his health he kept on fighting. He was a fighter until the end. He always talked about going fishing or hunting but never got the chance to. Camo was his favorite color. The Georgia Bulldogs was his team. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, George Brown and his grandmother, Grace Neal.

Survivors include his wife, DeLinda Flynn Soliday; his children, Jonathan, Cayden and Leah Soliday; his parents, Elizabeth Moon, John and Coni Soliday; his mother-in-law, Mary Jones; his uncle, George Brown; his grandparents, Yvonne Brown and Barbara Soliday; his siblings, Michael Soliday, Jeffrey Godshall, Erica Watkins, Shellie Hughes, Daniel Soliday, Lilly Soliday and Penny Soliday.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 10, 2016 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Pastor David Watson officiating.
