Obituary for Betty J Starr
Mrs. Betty June Starr, age 85, of Cartersville, died Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Maple Ridge Health Care Center. Mrs. Starr was born April 29, 1931 in Newport, Arkansas and was the daughter of the late Otis Harrison Crutcher and Floy I. Bolden Crutcher.
Mrs. Starr was a member of Cartersville Church of God. She was retired from the Pontiac Motor Company. She loved to read, do puzzles, play bingo, crochet and play the piano. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Lyle Dean Starr and her son Russell Starr.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Starr Lipford (Lawrence) of Franklin, Georgia; her son, Michael Starr of Waterford, Michigan; her grandchildren, Tracy Pulliam of Taylorsville, Georgia, James Galloway II of Pontiac, Michigan, Deanna McDermott of Cartersville, Georgia, Michelle Reid of South Lyon, Michigan, Amber Dieon of Waterford, Michigan, Eric Starr of Waterford, Michigan; along with 12 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Visitation will follow on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 11:00 -1:00 p.m. at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 39 West Burdick Street, Oxford, MI 48371.
Interment will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Cemetery, Oxford, Michigan.
