Mr. Jack Jones Wilson, 72, of Cartersville, entered into rest on Friday, March 10, 2017 at his residence. He was born in West Point, Georgia on July 1, 1944, the son of the late Jack Wilson and Marion Wilson.
Mr. Wilson was a member of Landmark Holiness Church and was the owner and operator of Main Street Security Services. He was a US Navy veteran, having served his country in Vietnam. He was always telling jokes and had a very outgoing personality.
Mr. Wilson is survived by Debra Rogers Wilson, who was the love of his life, and he called “sweetpea”; his children, John Bradley Wilson, Elizabeth (Glenn) Akin; stepsons he loved as his own, Jesse (Kim) Boiles, Joseph Boiles Sr., Jonathan Boiles; grandchildren, Kayle Wilson, Joseph Boiles Jr., Matthew Boiles, Hayden Boiles, Heather Boiles, Levi Boiles, Kegan Boiles, Ryan Boiles, Lily Boiles, Kelsie Boiles, Harrison Akin and Samantha Akin; sister, Fran (Phil) Martin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick (Joyce) Rogers, Jim (Kaye) Rogers, Helen (Terry) Trowbridge, Gayle Rubeck, Carol (Wayne) Leachman; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Pastor Doug Simons officiating. Interment will follow in Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, at 12:30 p.m. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie Kelley, Jasper Wright, Marty Neal, Kayle Wilson, Kevin Martin and Austin Dixson.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice of Cartersville for their care of Mr. Wilson. A special thanks to Dr. Roger Hiser, Dr. Timothy Lin, nurse Whittney Moody, and nurse Leah Jordan whom he loved dearly. He also had a very special place in his heart for Jennifer Boiles, Jaime Edwards and Savannah Lawson.
Flowers will be accepted, but for those who wish, donations can be made in memory of Jack to Amedisys Hospice at 12 Felton Place, Suite B, Cartersville, Ga 30121.
