Obituary for Phena Quinton Brawner

Phena Quinton  Brawner
Mrs. Phena Q. Brawner, 78, of Cartersville, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born in Gordon County on September 11, 1938, she was the daughter of the late William Henry Quinton and Agnes Lillie Barton. Mrs. Brawner was a shop steward for the union at E-Z Mills, where she retired after 30 years of service. She was also active in the E-Z Mills Retired Group, a member of Bartow County Senior Center and of the Red Hat Society. She was a devoted mother and a caregiver for her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Brawner, Jr.

Survivors include her son, Terry Lee Brawner (Sheila) of Cartersville; her daughter, Janice Brawner Wine (Mike) of Dallas; her grandchildren, Warren Wine of Dallas and Kristie Wine of Douglasville; and her sisters, Winona Ashcraft of Cartersville, Billie Jo Yearkey of Lake Martin, Alabama, Lillie Mae Daley of Stockbridge and Aura Jean Banks of Morrow.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Joe Nix officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
