Joe Wilson, CFSP, Co-Owner & Funeral Director
Email: joewilson@parnickjenningsfuneral.com

Joe Wilson became co-owner of the funeral home on June 4, 2012.  A native of Savannah, Georgia, and a United States Army veteran, Joe began his career in funeral service in 1990.  He graduated with honors from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in 1992 and is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.  In 2003, Joe was awarded the professional designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner or "CFSP" from the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice.  Initial certification for this designation required 180 hours of voluntary continuing education and community service.  Throughout his career, Joe has been involved with the Masons, the Scottish Rite, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, Kiwanis Club, Sertoma International, Sons of Confederate Veterans, and the Loyal Order of the Moose.  Joe has family ties to Bartow County dating back to the War between the States, and he and his wife Taylor are very excited to be a part of this community.

C. W. Stoots, Co-Owner

C. W. purchased the funeral home in 2007 and returned the firm to independent ownership.  Joe & C. W. owned and operated a funeral home in Lancaster, South Carolina for a number of years, and made the decision to sell that firm so that Joe could return to his roots in Georgia and buy into Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.  C. W. and Joe are very excited to bring local ownership back to Cartersville.

Parnick Jennings, Jr., Funeral Director & Consultant

Parnick grew up in his family's funeral home on North Broad Street in Rome. He joined the family firm in 1975 and came to Cartersville in 1977. Parnick is a graduate of the Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science and became a licensed funeral director in 1979.  Parnick is married to the former Tina Skean. She is a Vice President and Commercial Lender for Crescent Bank in Cartersville. Parnick and Tina are both active in our community and attend Tabernacle Baptist Church.  After selling his business in 1995, Parnick continued an active role in funeral service as an Area Vice President. His area of responsibility included all of the funeral homes owned by SCI in Northwest Georgia. Wanting to return to his roots of assisting families, Parnick relinquished his management responsibilities and returned to our firm in 2003.  Active in the Cartersville-Bartow Chamber of Commerce, Parnick is a past Chairman of the Board for 2008. He currently serves on the chamber board of directors and on several other chamber committees such as Leadership Bartow, the Ambassadors, and the Governmental Affairs Committee. Parnick also serves on the board of directors for several non-profit and charitable organizations, and he is a member of the Cartersville Rotary Club.

Lloyd Buchanan, Consultant

Born and raised in Atco Village, Lloyd retired from Goodyear in 1986 and joined our staff the very next day as the manager of the funeral home. With his oversight and direction, our funeral home experienced its first period of tremendous growth. This growth created the need to expand our facilities. The "face" of our building completely changed with the first addition and redesign of the building in 1991. Lloyd also oversaw the most recent addition to the building in 1995. Lloyd currently assists our staff as a consultant.  Lloyd is married to the former Charlotte Jones who was born and raised in Sugar Valley. They have one son, Mark. Lloyd's sister, Ruth Wilson, retired from our staff as the office manager. Lloyd, Charlotte and Mark are active members of Atco Baptist Church.  Most people remember Lloyd because of his distinctive bass voice. His forty-two year career in gospel music took him all over the Southeast to perform in churches, festivals and television studios. Lloyd's current gospel group, One Touch, is semi-retired and performs a few selected dates each month.

Vickie Mulkey, Office Manager
Email: vickie@parnickjenningsfuneral.com

Have you ever wondered who that lady was with the pleasant voice answering the telephone? That would be Vickie Mulkey. Born and raised in Sugar Valley, she is the former Vickie Jones. She is a graduate of Cass High School and has one son, Blake. Vickie currently attends Oak Hill Baptist Church.  Serving as our Office Manager, Vickie also assists families with filing death certificates and life insurance claims. Her expertise with insurance issues is the reason our families receive their insurance proceeds so quickly.  Vickie also assists our staff with our community service projects. She coordinates our annual gala luncheon with the Bartow County Senior Center, and she coordinates the monthly birthday cake outreach to our local nursing homes and assisted living centers.

Greg Patterson, Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer
Email: greg@parnickjenningsfuneral.com

A native of Cartersville, Greg is a graduate of Cass High School and Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service where he was awarded with an Associate of Science degree in Funeral Service, and was the recipient of the Bill Pierce Award, an honor bestowed by his fellow classmates as the person most representative of funeral service.  He was the Location Manager of Winn Dixie in Cartersville. Greg served as the pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church for nine years.  Greg's wife, the former Pam Sneed, is a native of Emerson.  Greg and Pam have two sons, Drew and Luke, and they are members of Tabernacle Baptist Church. They are the former owners of River Walk Bakery and Cafe. Greg enjoys putting his boat in the water and fishing every chance he gets.  Greg joined our staff as an apprentice funeral director and has completed the process of becoming a licensed funeral director & embalmer. During his time with our staff, he has come to realize how our staff "ministers" to the needs of people every day. Greg's experiences as a pastor will compliment his calling as a funeral director.
