Mrs. Leonice “Lee” Roddy, 81, of Cartersville, passed away Wednesday, September 05, 2012 at a local nursing home. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, July 14, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Simpson Garmon and the late Ruby Irene Atkinson Garmon. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Roddy; her sister, Bobbie Hunton; her brothers, Edgar Simpson Garmon, Jr. and William Eugene Garmon.

Mrs. Roddy was a member of Euharlee Baptist Church and was in Sales and Marketing before retirement.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Charles Smith of Euharlee; her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Jackie Roddy of Lawrenceville; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 8, 2012 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Reverend Ricky Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
