Obituary for Shirley "Sissy" Lee

Shirley “Sissy” McIntyre Lee, 61, of Cartersville, died Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. A native of Bartow County, born September 10, 1951, she was the daughter of Pauline McIntyre and the late James Virgil McIntyre.

Shirley was employed by Springdale Nursing Home as a LPN. She was a loving and caring person and enjoyed taking care of others.

She is survived by her husband, Doyle Lee of Cartersville; her daughters, Vera Evans and son-in-law, Michael and Jean Reed all of Cartersville; her son, James Dusty Swift of Kennesaw; her sister, Emilia Paulette Ford of Cartersville; her brother, Wayne McIntyre of Cartersville; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 13, 2012 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Reverend Dennis Huskins officiating. Interment at Georgia National Cemetery will be scheduled for a later date. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
