Obituary for Susan Lorene Crockett

Susan Lorene  Crockett
Susan L. Crockett, 70, of Cartersville, died, Tuesday, September 11, 2012 in an Atlanta hospital. Born in St. Petersburg, Florida on July 24, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Roy Scheel and the late Ethel Martin McKenzie. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, David Crockett.

Mrs. Crockett was an ordained minister and was of a non demonational faith. She was strong in her faith and was a gentle, caring, kind, giving and loving person. She was an active member of the Bartow County Republican Party and faithfully involved in her local church.

Survivors include her children, Kimberly and Richard Keller and David and Katie Crockett; seven grandchildren; and a brother, Tom Austin.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 14, 2012 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Franklin, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 9 – 11 a.m., Friday morning at the funeral home prior to the service.
