Obituary for Mary Ann Kerr

Ms. Mary Ann Kerr, 88, of Cartersville, died Friday, July 12, 2013 at Townsend Park Health and Rehabilitation. Born August 27, 1924 in Ellijay, she was the daughter of the late Jim Banks and the late Molly Burgess Banks.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and one daughter, Joan Cochran. Ms. Kerr was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was retired from Union Carbide. She enjoyed her family along with sewing, walking and cooking. She had a wonderful sense of humor.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Van Gilstrap of Kingston; five grandchildren, Sloan Bagley and her husband, Dennis of Euharlee, Angie Moore and her husband, Scotty of Adairsville, Greg Gilstrap and his wife, Mia of Kingston, Dean Cochran and his wife, Amy of Cartersville and David Gilstrap and his wife, Bridget of Cartersville; and twelve great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Oak Hill Cemetery with Reverend Doug Harris officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services prior to the service.
Serving as pallbearers will be Andrew Gilstrap, Christopher Cochran, Logan Bagley, Dennis Bagley, Scotty Moore and Michael Howren.
