Obituary for Marilyn Elrod Bryant
Ms. Marilyn Elrod Bryant, 57, of Pell City, Alabama, formerly of Cartersville, died Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Birmingham Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born March 14, 1957 in Cartersville, she was a daughter of the late H. C. Elrod and the late Minnie Bohannon Elrod. Marilyn was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed gardening, fishing, and the outdoors. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Benjamin Gage Hayes; a brother, Elton Elrod; and a nephew, Anthony Freeman.
Survivors include her son, Clay Hayes of Cartersville; a grandson, Zane Hayes; sisters, Annette Freeman of Pell City, AL, and Martha Harp of Jefferson, GA; brothers, Howard Elrod of Cartersville, and Mark Elrod of Ogden, WV; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend Joe Nix officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service.
