Obituary for Margie Louise Benfield

Mrs. Margie Louise Benfield, 58, of Cartersville, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born July 30, 1955 in Acworth, she was a daughter of the late William Fowler and the late Dorothy Goodwin. Margie was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Stacy Wehunt.

Survivors include her husband, Ed Benfield; sons, Mike Woodard and his fiancé Michelle Walpole of Cartersville, William Woodard and his wife Jennifer, also of Cartersville, and Anthony Benfield of West Union, SC; daughters, Sara Barnett of Acworth, and Marie McLin and her husband Greg of Biloxi, MS; brother, William Fowler of Cartersville; sisters, Judy Gibbens of Cartersville, and Nora, also of Cartersville; grandchildren, Braylon Woodard, Destiny Woodard, Malia Woodard, Nevaeh Woodard, Michael Woodard, Desaray Woodard, Michelle Woodard, Sandra Walpole, Scott Walpole, Gregory McLin, Jr., Jaydem McLin, Jeremiah McLin, Nathen Barnett, Matthew Woodard, Miranda Barnett, and Domnic Benfield; great-grandchildren, Bryson Thompson, Hayden Woodard, Michael Woodard, Jr., Lopez Woodard, Riley Barnett, and Jovanni Dominguez; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2014 in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend David Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 6 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
