Obituary for Mildred Earwood

Mildred  Earwood
Mrs. Mildred Louise Earwood, 92, of Cartersville, widow of the late Glenn E. Earwood, died Monday, April 21, 2014 at Floyd Medical Center.

Born November 26, 1921 in Bartow County, she was a daughter of the late George Dewey Hubbard and the late Myrtle Beatrice Hubbard. Mrs. Earwood was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church and a homemaker. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Jo Williams, and Sarah Frances Early; and brothers, Gene Hubbard, Alvin Hubbard, Charles Hubbard, and Reverend James L. Hubbard.

Survivors include her daughters, Jackie L. North of Houma, LA, and Johnnie L. Jenkins of Lake City, FL; sister, Hazel Blaylock of Cartersville; grandchildren, Cindy Mills of Pensacola, FL, Kathryn Kozen of Lincoln Park, MI, Carey Chandler of Lake City, FL, Chris Vaughn of Fayetteville, GA, Colin Martin of Adairsville, and Logan Jenkins of Lake City, FL; 9 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church with The Reverend Rob Miller and The Reverend Bryan Cox officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Earwood will lie in state at the church, one hour prior to the service.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Billy Ward, L.C. Cornwell, Charlie Cox, Gene Cantrell, and Glen Wimpy.
