Love for a Father

Shortly after our mother passed away, Daddy told Donna that he would see her again one day.  Donna had the courage and conviction to tell Daddy the truth, so she responded with, no Daddy you won't.  He was perplexed by this and asked her why, was God that cruel?  Let me give you a little more background into why he asked that question.  Back in the dirty 30's times were hard. One day when our father was just a young lad there was a knock at the door, it was their preacher.  He was looking for donations for the church, our grandfather told him he had nothing to give, and so ensued an argument between the two men.  Daddy decided at a tender young age that he no longer believed, and took this into his adulthood.  So,  Donna told Daddy that he had to believe in our Lord and Savior, that he had to repent and worship our Lord, to ask him back into his heart and to be babtised.  Daddy thought over this for some time and then started to go to Church.  It wasn't long before he was saved and on Feb, 14th, 1999 Donna was married in his home.  John was Daddys minister , he is the one that married Donna and Ricci, but along with the marriage he also babtised Daddy with water from the River Jordon.   Our father is in Heaven with our mother now.  Had it not been for the belief in our Lord and Savior that Donna held so precious enough to tell her Daddy, NO, he would surely would not be where he is today.  My sister did this, she let the Lord work through her to let Daddy have eternal lasting life!!!  God Bless you Donna, I love you so much.
