Obituary for Jimmy W. Howell

Mr. Jimmy W. Howell, 62, of Cartersville, died September 29, 2014 at his residence.
A native of Bartow County, born January 27, 1952, he was the son of the late Wofford Howard Howell and Christine Cupp Howell. Jimmy was a loving husband, a good friend to all and enjoyed woodworking, camping and fishing. He was retired from Ryder Truck Rental with 30 years of service. After retiring he returned to work at Kennesaw Transportation where he remained until he became ill.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Kathy Price Howell; his brother, Kenneth Howell, Sr.; his niece, Amanda Garland (Mark); his nephew, Kenneth Howell, Jr. (Pam); his brothers-in-law, Lee, Jerrell and C. L. Price (Joyce); his sisters-in-law, Joan Cox (Ralph), Fran Miller (Tommy), Betty Adams, Pat Stringer (Johnny) and Jean Hall.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 2, 2014 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Keith Guyton and Mr. Ralph Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be C.L. Price, Michael Adams, Russell Stringer, J.D. Wood, Geory Cox and Daniel Davis.
Flowers will be accepted but for those who wish to make donations, please make to Amedisys Hospice, 12 Felton Place #E, Cartersville, Ga. 30120. The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Roger Hiser and the staff at Amedisys Hospice.
