Mrs. Nellie May Davis Haney – Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

Mrs. Haney, 94, of Cartersville, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at her residence.

Born February 7, 1921 in Rydal, she was a daughter of the late Griffin W. Davis and the late Jenny Mae Legg Davis. Mrs. Haney was a member of Canton Road Church of God, and was retired from Nantucket after over 30 years as a sewing machine operator. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clomie Haney; daughters, Dorthey Haney and Debbie Haney Jones; sons, Earl, Charle, Junior, and Thomas Haney.

Survivors include daughters, Joyce Haney and Lillian Haney Benioun; sons, James Haney and Ricky Hobbs; 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Canton Road Church of God with The Reverend Dewayne McCreary officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.
