Obituary for Mary Lee Smith

Mrs. Mary Lee Smith, 68, of 1169 Cass White Road, died Friday, February 27, 2015, following an extended illness. She was born in Cartersville on April 28, 1946 and was the daughter of the late Lee A. Ledford and the late Ruby D. Ledford. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers, Mr. Walt Ledford, Mr. Ernest Ledford, Mr. Charlie Ledford; sisters, Mrs. Martha King, Mrs. Effie Black and Ms. Betty Ledford.
Mrs. Smith was a native of Bartow County and a member of the Baptist faith. She was retired from Bartow County School system. She enjoyed fishing, playing Yatzee and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her loving husband of 41 years, James A. Smith; son, Michael Smith; adopted son, Darrin Bartsch; honorary grandchildren, Elyse Tindall, Jacob Tindall; sister in laws, Ann King, Brenda Smart, Kimmie Powell; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Reverend Gregory Powell and the Reverend Matt Mullins officiating. Interment will follow in the Cassville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 1, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Todd Burch, Jerry Burch, Steve Burch, David Burch, Larry Salts and Dwight Fox.
