Obituary for Edna P. Leonard

Mrs. Edna Pauline Leonard, 80, died Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Anderson Mill Health & Rehab in Austell. Born in Funston, Georgia on May 4, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Paul William and Annie Jane Davis Nichols.
Mrs. Leonard was a longtime resident of Bartow County and was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed telling jokes. “She was like a box of chocolates, you never knew what you were gonna get with her.” In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Leonard and two daughters, Judy Ledbetter and Sherian Dyer.
Survivors include her children, Jean Rollins (Roland) of Hiram, Donna Dyer of Calhoun and Robert “Bobby” Dyer (Gwen) of Cartersville; her sisters, Nancy Brown and Christine Nichols both of Cartersville; thirteen grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2015 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation. Interment will follow in the White UMC Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
