Obituary for Carol Anne Rose

Mrs. Carol Anne Rose, 82, of Cartersville, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Cartersville Medical Center. A native of Bartow County born on July 27, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Albert A. and Carrie Nell Lanham Carnes.
Mrs. Rose was a member of the Christian Church and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a 1949 graduate of Taylorsville High School, a graduate of Crawford W. Long School of Nursing and completed her Bachelor of Science Degree at Georgia State College. During her 48 year career as a nurse she worked for Sam Howell Hospital, The Bartow County Health Department and the North West Georgia Regional Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, reading and traveling. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Carnes; and her brother, Clayton Gerald Carnes.
Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Ira T. Rose; her sons, Paul Anthony Rose, (Diane) of Cartersville, Tracy Alan Rose, (Cindy) of Acworth, Keith Douglas Rose, (Regina) of Spring City, Tennessee, and Jason Rose, (Aileen) of Spring City, Tennessee; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her sister, Charlotte Tompkins of Chattanooga.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 17, 2015 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend George Lee and The Reverend Phillip Farris officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Corey, Curtis, Jonathan, Daniel, Ira Troy and John Rose and Matthew Williams. The male members of the Christian Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to The American Cancer Society, 1825 Barret Lakes Blvd. #280, Kennesaw, Ga. 30144 in memory of Mrs. Rose.
