Obituary for Marian Elizabeth McDaniel

Mrs. Marian Elizabeth Woodall McDaniel, 71, of Cartersville, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Floyd Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was born in Bartow County on April 14, 1944 and was the daughter of the late William Harry Woodall and the late Eunice Brown Woodall.
Mrs. McDaniel was a member of Wofford’s Crossroads Baptist Church and enjoyed shopping and watching TV. She retired from First Brands with 36 years of service. She loved her family and her pets. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Lanelle White and Lucy Gilley; her brothers, James W. Woodall and William T. “Black Eye” Woodall; and her grandchild, Allison Leigh McDaniel.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Michael McDaniel of Cartersville; her son, Michael Lee McDaniel, Jr. and wife, Andrea of Cartersville; her sisters, Darlene Davis of Cartersville and Patricia A. Abernathy of Marietta; her brothers, Weldon Woodall of St. Augustine, Florida, Billy Woodall of White and Kenneth Woodall of Cartersville; and her grandson, Trenton Lee McDaniel of Cartersville.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2015 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Keith Dempsey officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 -8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Palisades Office Park, 5901 Peachtree Dunwoody Road, Atlanta, Georgia.
