Obituary for Thomas Benson "Ben" Moss

Mr. Thomas Benson “Ben” Moss, 76, of Cartersville, died Friday, August 7, 2015, at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. Born December 8, 1938 in Elberton, Georgia, he was the son of the late Thomas Archer Moss and the late Doris Maxwell Moss.

Mr. Moss enjoyed gardening and was a retired School Teacher with 30 years of service in the Bartow County School System. He was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church in Dewey Rose, Georgia. He served faithfully in the Friendship Kitchen Ministry at Cassville Baptist Church and was a member of Stewart Griggs Sunday School Class.

Survivors include his wife, of 53 years, Brenda Clark Moss of Cartersville; brothers, Arnold Maxwell Moss and wife, Martha of Sweetwater, Tennessee, Stewart Johnson Moss and wife, Patsy of Dewey Rose, Georgia; God daughter, Wendy King of Cartersville; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ronald and Dondra Clark and Mary Clark, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at Cassville Baptist Church with the Reverend Ron Cansler officiating. Interment will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Dewey Rose, Georgia. Mr. Moss will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 10, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of Mr. Moss to the Cassville Baptist Church Building Fund.
