Obituary for Dorothy L. Wilbanks

Dorothy Louise Wilbanks, 82, of Cartersville, died Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Adairsville on June 11, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Homer Bagley and Ada Bagley.

Mrs. Wilbanks was a member of Oak Grove Church and enjoyed cooking, doing crossword puzzles, working in her garden and her flowers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, R. B. Wilbanks; her sister, Emma Grace Mulkey; Easter Buck Bagley, Junior Bagley and Robert Bagley.

Survivors include her sons, Ricky Wilbanks of Adairsville, Jerry Wilbanks of Adairsville and Tony Wilbanks of Cartersville; her siblings, Geraldine Barnett of Dalton, Christi Wilbanks of Cartersville, Annie Mae Brown of Calhoun and Ed Bagley of Cassville; along with 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 30, 2015 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tatum Wilbanks, Jesse Wilbanks, Brian Yancey, Michael Yancey, Dustin Wilson, Austin Wilbanks and Trey Walker.
