Dear Jerry, my regret is that we did not get a chance for a lengthy relationship, but in that short time of knowing you I quickly learned what a wonderful person, friend, mom, wife, sister, and me-maw you were. Your relationship and obvious love of your husband, Norm was so touching. As an animal lover myself, I was also pleased to see your affection (and spoiling) of dear little Rambo – your baby! Right after first meeting you I wrote you to express sincere thanks: first for your gracious hospitality and to let you know that now I know where Joe gets his big, caring heart, spunk and abundant energy – from you - his mom! I also issued a special thanks to you for doing such a great job of raising Joe, he is such a wonderful caring, kind, patient and devoted man, that you obviously instilled the kind of values and morals in him that has given him the core values that makes him the terrific person that he is and how much I admired the relationship you and Joe had, how this relationship with you and his other family members was a testimony as to his high level of integrity as a man of honor and goodness. Jerry, again, you are to be congratulated for being such a loving and devoted mom you raised two wonderful children, Joe and Karen who loved and admired you immensely. You also deserve recognition for all of your other life’s admirable accomplishments that were achieved while you were abundantly showering your love and care to others- you lived your life as a devoted child of God, you were full of love - as it is described in 1st Corinthians 13: 4-7 Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud, it is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, trusts, hopes, and perseveres. Jerry, you exemplified the true meaning of Love. What a wonderful mentor you were to all who knew you, you will forever live in our hearts. With love, Nancy Buckingham
