Granny.... It's only been one week since you went home to see Jesus. My heart aches to hear your voice and feel your soft gentle touch. I know I had you for 44 yrs. and others had you longer, to me that wasn't long enough. You have been such a big part of my life. From a small child to grade school and our trips to the golden gallon for a ice cream sandwich, to high school and our trips to Cato's for a new outfit. Then you even loved my boyfriends. As I got older , got married and had my two boys, you was there for my boys too. I won't ever forget the memories we made together. You are the reason I am the person I am today. You taught me to love God and my family. You taught me to be good to everybody. I am spoiled rotten! Thanks to you! But I do have an overwhelming love for people and I owe it to you for that. You spent quality time with me as a child and as I got older. I will always cherish that. You have been the rock of our whole family. I hope one day people have great things to say bout me as people have to say bout your life. You life speaks for itself. You have been a blessing to many and are loved by everyone. I know you are resting in heaven with no more sorrow or pain. I bet today I could say Granny do you know who I am and you would say "sonia". No more dementia. You will live in my heart forever and always. I will never say goodbye my sweet angel cause one day I will see you again. My love to my Granny forever and always.

My first memories of you are on Garrison Drive when I hadn't even started school yet. While Momma and Daddy were at work you would watch me. Even though it was many years ago, I still remember how your living room was arranged in that tiny little apartment. I always sat in your chair in front of the T.V. watching cartoons while you made me "cereals and milk" because that was all I would eat, I'm assuming. We would walk to Battle Foods and I helped you carry five pound bags of sugar even though I thought my arms were going to fall off. You loved us, ALL OF US, more than we will ever be able to imagine. Not one soul ever left your house hungry. You did anything for anyone and gave the shirt off your back to anyone who needed it. You are a rare kind and I have never known, and may never know, a person as selfless and loving as you. I hope one day, I can aspire to be half the person you are. You will be missed more than you could ever imagine. God was so good for giving us an angel like you in our lives! Thank you for being a blessing and inspiration in our lives. I will love you forever and always.

Your all in our thoughts & prayers. Ethel was a very special person I have so many memories of her when we were all a lot younger RIP our dear fried. To the family just know she is in a better place than is , she will be missed , but no more pain and suffering she is celebrating with GOD today. Love and prayers to all the family.
