Morning Glory

As many of you know, I didn't go to day care until I was a bit older. Grandmother kept me when I wasn't in school. Well Grandmother and the rest of the clan. Some mornings, Mom would stop on the way to Grandmother's house and let me pick a morning glory to give to her. We would sit on the back porch with whomever happened to be around that day, and I would listen to all the stories of the family vacations "out west." I never knew if I'd ever get to see all the places they'd been, so it's a wonderful treat to say that I now have lived in some of the places they spoke so fondly of.  I heard stories of Washington and Oregon (always spoken of as one), the Badlands, Crazy Horse, Yellow Stone, prairie dogs, the Grand Tetons. They visited more states and saw more national parks, landmarks, and monuments than most will ever see. What a life Grandmother and Grandaddy lived. I'm so thankful to share in their adventures and hear the tales of their lives from them on a daily basis growning up.
