Obituary for Jane Weiss Craddick

Mrs. Jane Tomlinson Weiss Craddick, age 82, of Cartersville, GA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 19, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Mildred Walden Winn.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Mr. Robert H. Tomlinson III and her second husband, Mr. Greg Weiss.

Jane was born on July 15, 1933 in Atlanta and grew up with her parents, brother, and many friends. She attended Brown High School where she met and married her loving husband of 38 years, Mr. Robert H Tomlinson III. She lived in Rome and Atlanta, Ga, and during those years raised four children. Later in life, Jane married Mr. David Craddick, where she lived happily for the last 15 years of her life. She was very outgoing, never met a stranger, and was always the first to lend a helping hand in time of need. She was a pink lady at Cartersville Medical Center, volunteered at the Booth Museum, and was known as the cookie lady at Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was a member for many years. She was kind to all people and loved animals. Her loving spirit and gentle nature will be remembered by all who met her.

Jane is survived by her husband Dave Craddick of Cartersville, GA, a brother, Bill Winn (Sheryl) of Bluffton, SC, her four children, Robert IV (Jane) of Greenville, SC, Jan Johnston (Mark) of Cartersville, GA, Bill Tomlinson (Cathy) of Woodstock, GA, and Betsy Padgett (Charles) of Dawsonville, GA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Avery, Alex, Ben (Paulette), Maddy (Uriah), Morgan, Melissa (Mason), Brice, and great grandchild Baker Kirk. She also leaves behind many relatives and dear friends who will dearly miss her smile, love, and generosity.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Greenlawn Memorial Chapel in Roswell, GA. Interment will follow with a short private family burial ceremony at Greenlawn Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. on Friday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either the Georgia Alzheimer’s Association, 922 East Morris Street, Dalton, GA 30721, or the Etowah Valley Humane Society, 36 Ladds Mountain Road, Cartersville, GA 30120
