Childhood memories

Betsy and I had become the best of friends when we were 11 years old.  I guess one of my fondest memories is when I spent the night with Betsy, on Saturday mornings, instead of cereal, Jane would allow us to eat vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup.  I was in hog heaven!!  When the neighbor hood kids were out playing and it was dinner time, Jane would ring the dinner bell they had in the carport and all the kids knew it was time to go home for dinner.  We could hear that bell from 2 streets over.  Jane was a wonderful mother and it showed through her children, Bobby, Jan, Billy and Betsy.  I am priviledged to have known her.
