My Sweet Uncle Joe

Uncle Joe was always a good-looking, sweet, kind-hearted man. He took my family (5 of us) in when we had nowhere to live or food to eat. Once we got on our own he would come by often to make sure we didn’t need anything. He would come get us kids and take us to their house and show us the time of our lives. He taught us how to water ski, ride trail bikes, fish, and just have fun. He could put the fear in you too if you needed it but that was few and far between.

He was the smartest man I have ever met. We always said everything he touched turned into money. He was a brilliant businessman but he would be the first to tell you that his greatest contribution to the world were his three daughters. They were his life and he would lay down his life for them. He was so very proud of his wife Francis, his girls Cheryl, Carol and Kim and all of his grandchildren. He loved them to the moon and back and spoke fondly of them every opportunity he got. His beautiful blue eyes would light up and sparkle like diamonds and it cheeks looked like little cherries when he would speak about anyone of the crowd.

He loved to share his knowledge and he tried to help and encourage everyone to improve his or her future. What a blessing it was to have this great individual be a part of my life. I was proud to call him Uncle Joe.

Much love and many prayers to Cheryl, Carol and Kim as well as all the grand’s.

He has blessed you with a legacy that I truly hope you understand and appreciate. Now it is your turn to step up and live up to the dreams he had for each of you. Most of all, be kind and gentle with each other as now you are all each of you have to depend on.

I am holding you close in thought and prayer.

Love Lawana
