I am honored to know Jakob, he was a kind, sweet, smart, and wonderful man of God. I wish I could've said goodbye but I know that he is in a wonderful, indescribable place. I am praying for you (family). Even though we we messed around with each other we really were best friends. I am blessed to remember the image of his father baptizing him in the creek and I know that Jakob is in a wonderful place! I am jealous that you are already there, but i am really happy that you are there. I When I heard he was in the hospital, I put on the heart bracelet he gave me at AWANA and he had one too! I have net dared to take it off yes and I will wear it until it wears out!!!!! But I have Big feeling that this will last forever!!!!!!!!!! Just like our friendship!!!!!! Jakob Wilburn was a good friend of my in 6th grade at Woodland Middle. I didn't have a lot of classes with him, only chorus, but I got to know him pretty well and also got to know that he loved God with all of his heart and soul. He was always kind, loving, and funny to everybody that he met, including me. I'm praying for all of his family members that are taking his death hard, but just know that he is in a better place right now, with God...the one he loved most. I have been the family tree keeper for 24 years. I have logged many many deaths, but this one is the saddest one I have ever had to add. To us, this is a death that should never have happened, but God has different plans. I do not want to add this death to the tree, but as long as Jakob's name is listed, then he will continue to live in our hearts. I know that one day we will get to see Jakob (and all of our other loved ones) one day, but as long as his name is remembered, he will live.

I never had the pleasure of meeting sweet Jakob, but I am Kayli's teacher this year and have seen the love this family has in their hearts. I will be there for Kayli and help support her this year, and for years to come. May your family feel the love of Christ during this time and always.
